This is a guided process for those looking to create and implement an innovative idea in their class, school or system. You get access to all resources upon purchase prior to course start.

  • Start & End Dates

    Course officially starts Mon. May 1st, 2023 and finishes Sun. June 3rd, 2023. You can start the Intro Module upon registration and access the all resources prior to the start date. It can be done individually or collaboratively with a team. The course is asynchronous, with an optional live virtual synchronous session each week. You can optionally complete it before the end date.

    This 5 week course requires approximately 2-4 hours/week to complete and costs $299 CAD. Instructor

Sandy Millar

Sandy Millar is a Vice Principal and innovator who is passionate about re-imagining and redesigning classrooms and schools to best prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Sandy looks to foster innovation in education with the use of technology, community partnerships, and developing global competencies in staff and students. Sandy is focused on creating high impact learning organizations that encourage educators to experiment and grow their practice. Sandy taught student leadership for 8 years where he developed an innovative curriculum designed around project based learning focused on developing global competencies in his students. Prior to teaching Sandy earned a masters degree in intervention and consultation in sport, physical activity and health. He brings a vast amount of experience consulting, coaching and leading a variety of teams to his work with INNOVATED.

Carli Parsons

Carli Parsons is a Vice Principal and innovator who has dedicated her career to motivating those around her to invest in the achievement and well-being of all students. She has worked as a Student Success Teacher, Blended Learning Consultant and an E-Learning Teacher over her 14 years in education. Carli is a community builder at heart and works with many local organizations in a variety of capacities.She believes that helping educators build their capacity to achieve their vision is the way to create and sustain a thriving school community.

Andrew Bieronski

Andrew Bieronski is a Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching (TELT) consultant and innovator. He is passionate about reimagining and redesigning classrooms and schools to best prepare youth for a quickly changing world and supports educators across K-12 in this work. Andrew looks to leverage technology to modernize pedagogy and assessment practices to improve student learning and achievement, and is a frequent conference presenter on these topics. He is an award recipient of grants from the Ontario Ministry of Education for both the Teacher Leadership and Learning Program (TLLP) and the Provincial Knowledge Exchange (PKE) to conduct innovative action research in education, working with other educators to develop their teaching practice. Andrew has served as an educational technology mentor to startup companies that have been a part of the University of Waterloo's Velocity program, and works with small, medium and large edtech companies as a consultant. He is the founder and director of TEDxKitchenerED, a TEDx event focused on the future of education, and the talks from this event have accumulated over 500,000+ views online.
